Ehrenamtskarte in Ostalb District: Recognition and Benefits for Voluntary Engagement

Introduction:

Volunteering plays a significant role in our society and deserves recognition and appreciation. In the Ostalb district, a special form of recognition has been created - the Ehrenamtskarte (Volunteer Card). In this blog post, we would like to provide you with more information about the Ehrenamtskarte in the Ostalb district, including who can receive it and the benefits associated with it.

Who can receive the Ehrenamtskarte?

The Ehrenamtskarte in the Ostalb district is available to all those who are highly engaged in voluntary work for the common good. There are two ways to be eligible for the card:

1. Past Year's Commitment: If you have volunteered for at least 200 hours in the past twelve months in a non-profit organization for the welfare of the community, you are entitled to apply for the Ehrenamtskarte.

2. Current Project: Alternatively, you can receive the Ehrenamtskarte if you have volunteered for at least 100 hours recently in a community-oriented project that took place in the public domain and was not focused on material gain.

Guaranteed entitlement exists for Juleica holders, members of operational units of the Volunteer Fire Department or the Technical Relief Agency, as well as volunteers in voluntary service.

What benefits does the Ehrenamtskarte offer?

The Ehrenamtskarte provides its holders with numerous discounts and advantages at various businesses, institutions, and events in the Ostalb district. To benefit from the discounts, you only need to present the Ehrenamtskarte along with your valid ID card.

When can the Ehrenamtskarte be applied for?

Applications for the Ehrenamtskarte can be submitted starting from August 1, 2023. For questions or interest in the card, you can contact Ehrenamtskarte@ostalbkreis.de or Ursula Winkler.

Conclusion:

The Ehrenamtskarte is a valuable recognition for those who volunteer and make a valuable contribution to our society. The Youth Forum ASR GD encourages everyone to continue actively participating in voluntary work and to make use of the benefits of the Ehrenamtskarte.

Together, we contribute to strengthening our society and promoting solidarity and cooperation.
